Wild Card Here We Come (I Hope)

So, I'm really starting to like this V-Mart Fellow. He's showing us some clutchness that we have been really missing since Papi's eye doctor stopped his "eye drop" prescription. Last night was a nice example, comes off the bench and pinch hits for 3 RBI's.

I love watching the Sox play the Orioles. I'm not sure what it is.......maybe it's the fact we can kick the living crap out of 'em, like every time.

Why is Texas still hanging in there? Seriously, what's the deal with that? I mean, I still feel confident that we will be in the playoffs, but only 2 games up on the Strangers? Come on.

In all honesty though, as I said, I think we will be in the playoffs, but I'm not feeling good about our chances taking it all. I'll leave it at that, 'cuz anything can happen, but still too many questions with our rotation. I mean, Dice is getting lit up in A ball. And, he's our hope. Beckett got a dead arm. Wake is old and taking more shots than me at the bar. Tazawa? Can't keep my hopes laying on him. I do like what Lester the Molester is doing and Buch is pitching nice.

I also want to say that I truly hate the fahkin' yankees. There's pretty much no hope of taking the AL East for us. Fuck.

In other news.......Good bye Bruschi....I'm going to miss you, thank you for the great years, but it was time and you did it classy. In fact, Good bye to all our elder defensive players, seems like the Pats are going younger and I think it's a good move.

Young Guns

Could he be the next of young talent to make a huge contribution to the team? Pedroia, Youk, Paps, Lester, Ells, Hanley Ramirez (Would have been sweet to have him, but I'm ok with Beckett and Lowell)...........Daniel Bard. He's flown through A ball and he throws 100mph. Only a handful of innings in Triple A this year, but a shitload of K's. I know it doesn't always equate (Hanson) in the Majors, but I'm looking forward to seeing this kid.

Oh yeah. We got a big game witht the C's tonight. Big Baby. Love the guy.

Well, you just couldn't handle it when you realized the Sox have your, fat, number. First of all, you head hunt on the Youkah, multiple times. Bitch. Then after JBay rocks your expensive shitty team a few times, more specifically drills a 3 run homer in the first off of you........Well, you come back and drill him in the back. Now, me.......I think JBay should have walked slowly to the mound, bat in hand, no emotion, and smack your punk ass. But, no.....he gave a look, walked slowly and in control to first. That's it right? Wrong. Even pitching coach Farrell thought that was a bitch move and we're getting sick of it, saying, "...........those things aren't forgotten, we know that there's a history there between the pitcher (that punk ass bitch joba the hut) in New York and our guys here (Beckett who would love to drill a 96mph fastball off of Texerror's skull), so not to say that he was specifically out to do that, but I think history speaks for itself, and we've got a number of games left with these guys (we are going to play bean ball with you, bitches)."

Oh yeah, Celtics/Magic II tonight. Man. The C's just didn't show up last game, not until it was way to late. I predict a strong game by Rondo tonight, pushing the speed of the game, well.....we need him to.

Ok that last game I mentioned with the sox kicking the shit out of the Indians......well as you know it got a lot closer, but the come back kids did it again. What I like about this team, that reminds me of 2007, is that they are getting key performances from every guy on the team, even Van Who's. Dare I say it..............nah, I'll wait a bit.

And somewhere A-Roid was shooting up in high school.

I don't want to say I told you so, but.........well shit. I Told You SO......I gotta give big CC credit, wait, no I don't. None of their mulit-hundred million dollar players are doing much of anything. Texerror? I'm glad we have Lowell.

One thing I didn't see coming was this 11 game win streak we're on. Holy Shit, we are kicking ass right now. How many awesome moments happened in that NY series. Jacoby stealing home? Wow, this is seriously the fastest guy I've seen in the majors. (A little side note, I mentioned before that I'm living in Oregon, Jacoby is from a little tiny town called Madras about 45 minutes from here. This region loves the kid.)

Our lineup reminds me of 2003-2004 kind of. Lots of power......I'm loving the Youk, Drew, Bay, Lowell combo......and if Papi starts hitting, damn.

What can I say about our bullpen? The best, ok enough said. And we have guys like Tazawa, Bowden, That kid that throws a 100, and many more itching for some pitching in the bigs.

Right now the Sox are playing the Indians....score in the 3rd.....7-3 Sox....could this be 12 straight? Fucking A.

One lonely week

One week until the Sox season starts, man, I'm ready. Spring training gets old, the world baseball classic just hurt our guys. I mean Japan? Fuck that hype. I gotta say, I think our bullpen will be one of the best in the league. I like our staring rotation, even with the question marks, there are a lot of options to go to.


The C's are just hanging in there ready for playoff time.

Red Sox Pre-Season Predictions

Ok, I've been slacking. I've been drinking for months on end. I've been fermenting my innards. Is that a real word? Who the fuck cares.

The 2009 baseball season is about to dawn on us....YES.

In anticipation of this awesomeness....no....Wicked Awesomeness, I am going to attempt a few Sox Predictions. I'll see how I did at the end of the season and grade myself.

Ok here goes.

1.AL EAST Sox, Yanks, Tampa, Toronto, Baltisucks.

2.Sox bullpen is one of the top 3 in the Leauge, if not the best.

3.Smoltz will be a great starter.

4.Penny? A few good starts, then injury.

5. Daniel Bard gets into the pen mid season and is almost unhittable.

6.Youk or Pedroia gets another gold glove.

7. Becket is back, 2007 version.

8. Dice K 20 game winner, still shakey outings, but better.

9. Varitek will keep pissing me off hitting from the left side. Shares more time with Bard.

10. Ellsbury gets 50 steals again. Batting average about .290, 12 Homers.

11. Lugo comes back pissed off and rules SS, (I can't believe I just wrote that, cuz I don't believe it)

12. Lester continues to blow me away at how good he is. 18 game winner.

13. Tazawa huge part of the pen.

14. I drink lots of beer watching games.
